History & Academic Programs
The Department of Physical Therapy, established in 1985, is the second oldest undergraduate program (B.S. degree) in Physical Therapy in Taiwan.
The mission of this undergraduate program is to prepare competent and caring therapists who can practice in a variety of settings while being responsive to social needs and changing concepts of health care; and to promote a high standard of professional education.
Upon successful completion of the B.S. degree requirements, graduates are eligible to take the national physical therapist licensure examination in Taiwan.
The two-year postgraduate program (Master of Science degree) was initiated in the fall semester of 2013.
The goal of our postgraduate program is to cultivate students with the ability to conduct clinical research, to answer clinical questions, and to apply evidence-based practice in the field of physical therapy.
